JUST IN….”Worst First Lady Ever!”: People Can’t Stop Talking About What Melania Trump Wrote In Her Mother’s Day Op-Ed that sent the Internet buzzing….FULL STORY 👇
This weekend, the Washington Post published an op-ed by Melania Trump titled “Mother’s are America’s stength,” and the essay is getting some major criticism.
In what was apparently meant to be a thoughtful Mother’s Day post, the first lady stressed that “it is time to revisit the enduring American family traditions that have supported generations.”

“The healthy evolution of the American family can best be achieved by preserving the elements of the past that have proved their worth,” she wrote. “In doing so, America can restore the honor of motherhood after years in which feminism often placed career above family, with consequences to our nation.”

Later in the op-ed, she also shared what she calls “a simple but enduring truth” for mothers today. That “truth” is: “You make yourself available not just when it is convenient, but whenever your child needs you. This is the heartbeat of an everlasting connection between a mother and her child.”
And Melania seems to view herself as an example of this message, as she said, “I constantly challenge myself, as first lady, to think beyond the traditional responsibilities of the East Wing.”
(Yes, the East Wing. The part of the White House that her husband demolished as part of his White House renovations.)

Online, Melania’s thoughts on motherhood and the effects feminism and careers have had on women’s ability to raise children have been met by heavy criticism.
“You have no clue what it takes to raise children in today’s world, not everyone has it easy like you, you’re living off the American people’s hard work, something you know nothing about,” one person commented.

“Does she have any clue, does she not see what reality looks like outside of her bubble?” another questioned. “Worst First Lady ever!”

Others took jabs at what they think Melania may be suggesting. “Here, the First Lady encourages working mothers to prioritize their children. Assuming that working mothers do not already do this is an interesting take,” this person wrote.
