BREAKING🚨 A new national poll just dropped — and Trump’s support is sinking on Iran, immigration, and the economy all at once.
The latest survey out this morning shows Trump underwater with the country, and not just by a point or two.
His numbers are soft where he brags the loudest: “strength” abroad, the border, and the economy.
On Iran, voters are catching up fast.
They see a president who rushed into a war, then tried to lawyer his way around the War Powers deadline instead of making his case to Congress and the public.
Even people who dislike the Iranian regime don’t love the idea of endless, undeclared conflict decided by one man and a handful of advisers.
On immigration, the “quiet crackdown” message isn’t soothing anyone.
Civil libertarians see a mass deportation plan being built in the shadows; business owners see a future labor shock; families in mixed‑status communities see another wave of fear and separation.
The poll numbers are starting to reflect that unease.
And then there’s the economy Trump insists is “the greatest ever.”
Voters living with rising rents, medical debt, and nonstop corporate price hikes aren’t feeling it.
They see a president obsessed with shrinking his own criminal exposure and pleasing donors, not with making groceries affordable or wages livable.
The assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner could have created a sympathy bump.
Instead, what we’re seeing in the data is something colder: people separating horror at political violence from their judgment of Trump’s record.
They can condemn one and still say, “No, I don’t want four more years of this.”
Polling isn’t destiny.
But it’s a weather report, and right now the storm clouds are gathering over a presidency that has already burned through its second “honeymoon.”
For 2026, these numbers matter in a very practical way.
Trump’s approval in swing House and Senate districts will shape how bold Republicans feel on abortion bans, voter suppression, and more immigration crackdowns.
If he looks like a drag, you will see more of them distance themselves in public — even as they vote his way in private.
It also matters for organizing.
Low enthusiasm on their side plus high energy on ours is how wave elections happen.
If Trump is already bleeding support this far out from November, that’s a signal: focusing voters on Iran, deportations, and the economy is working.
The takeaway today isn’t “relax, the polls look good.”
It’s the opposite.
When a president this dangerous starts to slide, that’s the moment to push harder — to turn soft disapproval into turnout, and bad numbers on a page into real losses up and down the ballot.
