Hillary Clinton says Trump is SLOW-WALKING the Epstein files, and the cover-up question is now barely a question. In Berlin this week, Clinton did what very few national figures are willing to do on the record. She looked straight at the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files and called it what it is : a cover-up. “GET THE FILES OUT,” she said, accusing the administration of dragging its feet. Here is what we know.
The Justice Department has already released millions of pages tied to Epstein, plus thousands of videos and a massive number of images, much of it redacted.
Officials have also said millions more pages were not released because of sensitive material, including personal medical records and child abuse imagery, and because some material could jeopardize investigations.
That may be true, but it also leaves the public in the worst possible place: a fog where power can hide and everyone else is told to “trust us.”
Now add the political theater. House Oversight Republicans subpoenaed both Clintons, then moved toward contempt when they resisted private depositions. The Clintons ultimately agreed to appear, with Hillary scheduled for February 26 and Bill for February 27, and the contempt push was put on hold. Clinton is now saying the hearings should be public and that “everybody” should testify if asked.
The White House, meanwhile, insists it has “done more for the victims” than Democrats ever have. If they mean it, there is a simple way to prove it: do a credible release process with clear accounting of what exists, what is redacted, and why, while safeguarding survivors.
Survivor advocates have been begging for exactly that, truth without turning victims into collateral damage.
Here is the simple, smug, unavoidable question Trump hates: if this is all just a partisan game, why is his administration still the one holding the master key to the vault?
Release a clear accounting of what exists, what is withheld, and why. Put the hearings in public. Stop drip-feeding the truth like it is a hostage negotiation. If Trump really believes in “sunlight,” he can prove it this week
And as someone said recently, to get the truth out, the Clintons might not even care if the Clintons go down. We salute them for that!
